"Offering up aromas of buttered green orchard fruit, ripe citrus and wheat toast, the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes is an attractively pure, medium to full-bodied wine with brisk acids, good tension at the core and a long, mouthwatering finish. This isn't quite as concentrated as the excellent 2015 rendition, but it's racier and more lively."

"The only vines that go into the Vincent & Francois Jouard estate bottlings are old vines (over 50 years). The Vieilles Vignes wines are aged using 1/3 new oak from the best barrel-makers - Chassin, Gillet and Billon."
